The Day Job
Onto real life, upon leaving education I
joined a High-Street Bank, working my way up from the boy who makes
the tea all the way to Cashier and Customer Service supremeo....
whilst working out of every branch in South West Sussex at one
time or another in my 7 years.
Now working for a multi-million dollar international company,
managing and developing their online customer service support
tool, supporting many blue-chip clients worldwide.
Radio
Career
Got a ‘Ronco’
radio with microphone one Christmas and was hooked on a career
in radio.
Joined
Chichester Hospital Radio at 16, and spent 8 years broadcasting,
fundraising, producing and ward visiting.
I was
involved in 2 charity broadcasts for Radio Cracker in Worthing
in 1992 and 1993. I helped arrange a trial broadcast for the
Chichester area in 1994 called CBR-fm.
Joined Spirit
FM at launch as presenter of Spirit Nightclubbin’ on a Saturday
Night. Since then I have been behind the scenes more than in
front of the microphone, as Spirit FM’s in-house commercial
producer I put together some of the adverts you hear on the
station, some of the jingles, and sit at the controls when the
station goes on location on an outside broadcast. I can also be
heard on-air for occasional holiday cover

Career
Highlights
Being
Chichester Hospital Radio’s "Member of the Year" 1994 (and I’ve
still got the certificate to prove it!), and interviewing Jeremy
Beadle and the Bognor Clowns Convention, asking him if he knew
that the clips on You’ve Been Framed that were staged weren’t
funny. He cut the interview short and walked off in a huff!
Mobile Discos
Got involved
with the fund-raising mobile discos when I was at Hospital
Radio. I hosted the Children's Ward Christmas party for 4 years
and thought to myself this could be a bit of a side-line. Was
asked to cover a New Years Eve function in 1995, using borrowed
equipment, and after borrowing it for a few other gigs, brought
it outright in 1997! Currently doing discos as the resident DJ
at a local sports club, but will consider most bookings

Films/Food/TV
You can't
beat a good action movie like James Bond, best seen in the
Cinema with the sound effects rattling around you. A big fan of
the films of Quentin Tarentino (except Jackie Brown... that one
never really grabbed me). On the telly I'll never miss an
episode of Hollyoaks (how sad am I...?); and classic British
sit-coms.
